JDHS tied Ferris 4-4 after falling behind 4-0 with second half goals, two each by Nick Stewart and Jackson Lehnhart. Saturday saw another 1-1 tie with Mead High School with a late equalizer by Stewart assisted by Lehnhart. The defense was especially strong against a very capable opponent. Monday the Bears play highly touted Roosevelt and Tuesday ends the road trip with a game against Newport High School of Bellevue.
